Our history

Hello, my name is Gynmarie, the person behind BAKE MY DAY by GA, formerly known as GABakery and more. I am 32 years old, I am Puerto Rican from  People of Ponce, I love baking and the art of creation. I always liked home economics class because of the preparation of desserts, but I never imagined dedicating myself to it; but I did make them for my family and baked cakes for most birthdays. There was a time when I sold desserts to the employees of a company, then I stopped making them because it is hard work, and my kitchen space was small which made it even more difficult, so I stopped doing it... Years went by and here I will tell you a little about when my small business formerly known as GABakery and more was born, it all happened in the year  2022 when I turned 30, it started out as a year It was a very hard and dark year for me. It was my worst year and at the same time my best year. I fell into a depression because of a strong situation that happened in my life. I had no desire for anything, but I couldn't stop celebrating my 30th birthday, which I had been waiting for so long. I decided to gather strength and motivate myself to make my birthday cake and so it was. I posted a photo of the cake, which everyone loved and I received many nice messages. They asked me if I was making it for sale or if I should start selling them. Amidst my nervousness, I heard a voice inside me that said, "Before you didn't make cakes because of lack of space and now that you have one, what's the excuse?" And I felt it so strongly that I gathered some courage and started practicing. Then a sister from church wrote to me and asked if I could make one for her. And I took the courage and said yes, very nervously but I made it and although it was not the best cake, nor did it have the best flavor, it gave me the courage to continue baking, seeking to perfect my recipe and start creating. Since then the oven has not been turned off in my home, thank God who gave me the privilege of dedicating myself to what I love and am passionate about, grateful for my family who always supports me, and all my clients who have been with me from day one to this day. They continue to give me that support, they have seen all my growth, I am more than grateful... Moraleja make the best of your bad days, that is where your best ideas and creations are born, which end up changing your life.
